What is it like to be a Senior Business Development Executive at Baanx?

My name is Safron Cartledge and I'm the Senior Business Development Executive at Baanx. I live in North Derbyshire here in the UK. I really love novel writing - particularly fantasy, drawing cartoon style character art and reading from time to time, as well as playing the odd game here and there. My favourite book is George Orwell's 1984!

Describe your typical day at Baanx 💻

A typical day at Baanx for me is finding new leads for potential clients and partners, and looking at new ways to expand the markets Baanx looks into. I'll send out emails giving an overview of our products and services, as well as respond to other potential clients in the pipeline. Most days are spent in and out of client meetings, where myself and potential clients will liaise on synergies and work on a deal that suits them best.

What do you love about being a Senior Business Development Executive at Baanx? 😎

My favourite thing about working at Baanx, doing what I do, is that the market is ever growing and changing - and it's wonderful to be a part of that. I didn't come from a crypto background, but I picked up the lingo pretty quickly! Since being at Baanx and the crypto space I have seen the boom of so many good things - DeFi, NFTs, the Metaverse and so much more. Finding new ways of helping clients in these spaces is so exciting and it's such an inspiring company and market to work for.

What was the most exciting project you have been part of? 💥

It would have to be Ledger - I found the lead that led to the first call with Ledger being booked. This was back when I first started at Baanx, so I had no clue quite how massive they were at this point. Kieron - our Global Sales Director - was so excited. The excitement grew and grew as the communications went on and to see what Baanx and Ledger are doing together is so exciting!

What's the best advice you have received? 👏

Any advice Kieron - Global Sales Director gives me. He is a great manager of the sales team and never fails to motivate any member of staff as well as support them. 

Kieron always says that when I'm at work, I'm no longer just Safron Cartledge - I am Safron Freaking Cartledge and that I should always embody that, be confident and self-assured. Because I'm Safron Freaking Cartledge!
