What is it like to be a Content Manager at Baanx?

Tell us about yourself ✍️ (your name, your role, location, studies, hobbies/interests)

Hi, my name is Emily and I'm the Content Manager at Baanx. I'm based in Kent in the UK and have an MSc degree in Digital Marketing and Analytics.

When I first finished my degree, I never thought I would've started a career in fintech, but after finishing a graduate programme with my previous employer, I found I wanted to continue in the industry. That's where I found Baanx. I'm no crypto expert, but being in the industry has been a huge learning experience for me and continues to be today.

In terms of my hobbies and interests, I enjoy cosplaying and I'm planning on attending MCM Comic Con and Hyper Japan this year. Aside from that, my down time often involves the Nintendo Switch (Animal Crossing, Pokemon and Super Mario are my faves), rhythm games or reading. I'm also a huge music lover. My typical favourite genres are metalcore, post-hardcore and pop punk, but you'll also catch me listening to pop, cutesy anime music or even musical numbers!

Describe your typical day at Baanx 💻

My day typically starts with a standup meeting with my team. From there, my tasks mainly involve creating and proofreading content for various channels (e.g. social media, promotional emails and blog posts) and advising fellow team members on content strategy. Some days are back-to-back with meetings, whereas other days are dead quiet!

What do you love about being a Content Manager at Baanx? 😎

I just love being involved in projects and seeing them come to life. I also love correcting written content. Sorry!

What was the most exciting project you have been part of? 💥

I've only been with Baanx for a short while, but I'd have to say the launch of the CL card powered by Ledger. I'd heard about Ledger before, but didn't know all that much about them aside from the fact that they're big players when it comes to crypto wallet security.

Regardless, it's been great to create promotional content for this new product and seeing everyone's hard work come together. I'm very much looking forward to the launch of this project, and many more we'll have in the future.

What's the best advice you have received? 👏

It's just a bad day, not a bad life.

Pizza with or without pineapples? 🍕

With! I don't get what the big deal about pineapple on pizza is, when abominations like Marmite and PB&J sandwiches exist.
